What is an “Investor Relations Expert”?

An Investor Relations Expert has a host of responsibilities, but primarily they help you manage communication between your corporate management and your investors. Their job focuses on your company’s financial community as opposed to the relations with customers or the greater public.  A great analogy is the following: have you ever asked your parents/family for money and they said “NO”?  An Investor Relations Expert helps to get you prepared BEFORE you talk to your family and ask them for capital.

How does pricing work?

For our Investor Relations and Networking Expert hourly services, we charge a rate of $325/hour with a minimum of 2 hours.  We also offer a 10 hour pre-pay package for $2,350.00 (which brings the cost down by over 25% per hour, $235/hour.)  

Many UCS Clients select the 10 hours of service as it comes with a refund policy for unused hours within the first 6 months or if you are not satisfied with our services. 

Why do you offer a refund policy?

Simple: from one entrepreneur to another entrepreneur: we know that every dollar counts!  As a business owner, you do not have money to waste! Every penny matters… and on the flip side, why get suckered into a monthly agreement that requires a minimum of 6 months or even a year, for a service you might not even like, or rather even need.

Our 10 hour pre-pay package is a great starting point for many entrepreneurs while also giving them peace of mind. In the case that things are not the right fit, you can still get a refund.  Our goal here at UCS Advisors is to help companies be able to achieve their greatness.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Currently, we accept wire, cash, check, Venmo, Paypal, or Cashapp.  We do not take credit cards at this time.

What kind of companies do you work with?

We work with both public and private companies, pre-revenue companies, start-ups. However, the majority of our clients have been in business for 5 years or less.

How long have you worked in the cannabis industry?

Dr. David has worked in the cannabis industry since 2001 when he started recommending medical cannabis to patients instead of opiates in the state of Maine. After that, he started an online health and wellness company for people and their pets in 2010, where they published articles about the benefits of CBD and medical cannabis which lead to him working in the testing lab sector, then products, some grow operations and dispensaries, as well as sat on numerous different state cannabis boards…

Dr. David was one of the original founding board members of the New Jersey CannaBusiness Association.   He is active in the Medical Marijuana Caregivers of Maine. He helped launch the now-defunct, Nevada Cannabis Testing Lab Association. He sits on the advisory board of several cannabis companies ranging from cultivation to extraction facilities to dispensaries to testing labs, to ancillary services; he has continued to give back this entire time.

What industries do you specialize in?

We focus on companies that are less than 5 years old all the way to the pre-revenue/start-up stage.  The majority of our focus is on the cannabis sector and the healthcare/wellness industry.   We work in most aspects of the cannabis and hemp industry and currently have worked with clients in 18 states and 7 countries.  For the healthcare and wellness industry, such as chiropractors, physical therapists, dentists, personal trainers we have worked with clients in 29 states and 3 countries.

Why don't you list more of your clients' names on your website?

Most of our clients insist on strict confidentiality, so we cannot divulge any information about them beyond their industry and a general description of the type of services we provided them.  We take your privacy seriously and do so out of respect for our clients.

We can research the external market and perform due diligence on the business itself. We are experts when it comes to finding “where the bones are buried.” You can always reach out to contact us to discuss this in confidence.
